What was the highlight of Super OYO Townhouse 1 Hotel Salemba
2 pillows + 2 decorative pillows, not 4 pillows + 2 decorative pillows.
Location: 8 out of 10. Main road, easy to find transportation. Minus: if you get lower floor (like, 2nd) be prepared for the noise of traffic. Price: very attractive (for the photos shown in booking.com) Staff: 7.5 out of 10. The receptionist is cooperative when I requested a change of room (more about this later). The housekeeping staff is also quite accommodating when I requested a change of bedsheets and pillowcases at 8.30 PM. Lobby is pretty bright. Hotel has parking space in front (not very large tho). They requested a deposit at check-in, returned at check-out.
Cleaning standards: (grimace) need improvements. The first room I got smelled like it hasn't been opened in more than a week. The window is small, covered by a curtain and hidden behind the TV. I hate it. It is not at all like the Deluxe Double room photo. I requested a change of room and got another on the same floor (2nd). I asked for higher floor but I was told there wasn't any available. The second room is more like the photo, and the smell was much better. Except someone forgot to clean it. There were dust and hairs on the floor. The were several strands of hair over the bed cover and the pillows. I went down to the receptionist and requested a change of bedsheets and pillows. The housekeeping staff came and changed the sheets. He was pretty nice and offered to clean more but I was tired, hungry, and have to go up at 6 the next day. So I thanked him and said I'll manage. The bathroom was pretty much like it was in the photo. The towel shown in the bathroom photo was confusing tho, because I'm pretty sure somewhere in the description (and reviews) it was mentioned that this hotel does not provide towels (but there's toothbrush). Fortunately I brought my own. Toilet bowl and washbasin is clean, the floor is, too, despite the stubborn yellow-ish water stain (it's the water in Jakarta, you left the puddle in your bathroom for too long and the stain stay forever). PS. That elevator needs more cleaning. The trashcan in my room next to the table, too. Perhaps once in a while with brush and soap.

Near the National Library
The room is big, the location is in a strategic area, and the staff are nice.
When I came, the floor was dirty. They only give towels without soap or shampoo. Actually, I like the hotel because of the location and the large rooms, but they don't maintain the rooms. Because all the stuff is old, like the bed cover, which is not white anymore and has stains. The wall is also dirty. I also didn't get a cabinet to put our clothes in.
